Howdy folks, a quick rundown of the last meeting with plans for the next...
We have scheduled our next meeting for this coming Thursday (22nd) 6-8 pm at Roar. The focus will be on reviewing our collaborative processes so far and we decided to come to the meeting super-prepared:
We are going to bring written documentation of our individual experiences of the collaborative processes we have used so far, with some theories and questions to pose to the group.
Mel and Andie - it would be great if you could also contribute your responses, theories and questions - perhaps by email if its easier than blogging, before the start of the meeting on thursday.
We also decided to have a time constraint (2 hours), appoint a whip and work to clearly defined goals during the meeting.
We didn't decide what those goals would be (!) so it would be great if we could do that ahead of time on the blog - everyone post your comments below!
The idea is that this debrief will start the collaborative process documentation which will eventually become part of the content of the kit. The need for developing and accumulating research on other collaborative enterprises was also brought up, so any relevant resources you can get you hands on and work through will be invaluable as we start to get stuck into the development of our Collaboration Kit.
Awesome!

hey guys,
Paula here, posted by Liz
I think it is a really good idea to get cracking on our new project but I am still suffering from ‘urgency fatigue’ from the Prospect whirlwind. I know I’m not alone in this, but I have to balance a lot of projects and work commitments and really don’t think I’ll have time to do the level of background work indicated above, before the meeting.
-Can we not make this the meeting where it all gets transcribed?
- instead first establish what our outcomes are?
-understand how each of us comes to the collaboration and how we might document our ‘individualised collaboration’ experiences?
-have a breather?
Why so much urgency? I know Tom is leaving in a month be we haven’t even allowed one week to prepare all this stuff to talk about….oh this collaborator has burnout!

hey guys, I agree with P and I'm not even in Wellington doing all the hard work :o
I'm feeling a little bit guilty that I haven't contributed for ages...Melb has been really hot we've had 2 days of 38degrees and I've been a bit delirious(sp?)! my brain is melting, still homeless and jobless but it's only a temporary condition. As for CLUBS I think june/july is too soon aswell, though it depends on what our next move is, meat market is a great space, it also houses the Next Wave festival offices and an independent publishing house called Express media. I've also been to a couple of exhibitions there before, it's a massive space though. I don't know though, it seems we work best as part of a larger project...like with PROSPECT we are referring back to that, and initially in every now and then, we were part of a group show, do you know what i mean? can we hold our own in a solo show (if that's what the CLUBS set-up is?)
sorry i get it now, the next project is the making of the kit?
not sure how to solve the 'weak' outposts problem, has anyone else mentioned that they seem superfluous? what say the hosts?
will post my individual thingee tomorrow xA
Let's make a deadline which is longer than a week for documenting our own responses, and lets talk this meeting about what areas we are going to cover.
I also think that we should perhaps plan a nice celebration fun thing to do together soon to honour all of the work we have done so far! Even if it's just a coffe or drink or whatever. To that end I wonder if we should ask City Gallery to pay us for our talk in a voucher for a cafe or bar?! Then at least it would be $50.00 towards having a nice time.
Sian, you'd make a great mum you know - very commonsense approach.
i too would like to reflect on our CAMRU project (in a meeting) and celebrate it (at a cafe or gathering)
yes we did good and have more good to do still with our project.
